Stifel has signed on a four-advisor team that was previously at Morgan Stanley, where they managed $680 million in client assets.

The team, known as the Founders Group, is led by advisors Michael Berard, Richard and Frank Dworsky, and David Bomar.

“Following extensive due diligence, our group decided that Stifel offered the client-centric approach and platform more consistent with our team’s focus on fundamental planning and investing,” Berard said in a statement.

Berard has 28 years of experience, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records. Richard Dworsky has 37 years of experience and his brother, Frank, has 42. David Bomar has 14. All four spent the last 14 years at Morgan Stanley, according to BrokerCheck.

Other members of the team include David’s father, Gayle Bomar, as well as financial advisor associate Vanessa Haythorn, portfolio analyst Charlene Sampson, senior registered client service associate Megan Prendergast, and registered client service associate Maria Storozheva.

The team will be based in a new office in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Stifel added another team in Wilmington, North Carolina last month — an ex-Merrill Lynch team that managed $354 million, according to the firm.
