T. Rowe Fund Sees a New Era

The T. Rowe Price New Era Fund is getting a new manager. Timothy Parker, the fund’s current manager will leave to pursue other opportunities, the firm’s spokeswoman told Money Management Executive.

Shawn Driscoll, an energy analyst with the fund, will succeed Parker on or before 9/30/13.  Parker has managed the fund since June 2010.

The New Era fund currently has $4.6 billion in AUM as of 3/29/13, according to Bloomberg data. It was launched on 1/20/69 and has a three-star rating from Morningstar.
