Thrivent Gives $24M to Habitat for Humanity

Thrivent Financial is continuing its four-year-old partnership with Habitat for Humanity, pledging $24 million this year, which will help build 314 homes.

Since first partnering with Habitat for Humanity in 2005, Thrivent has given a total of $125 million and helped build 6% of the homes the group has constructed.
At the same time, Thrivent has pledged an additional $1.7 million to help the Gulf Coast.

“Our work together in the Mississippi Gulf and across the United States aligns well with the values of Thrivent Financial and its members,” said Brad Hewitt, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Thrivent. “We are committed to offering our members programs that engage their hearts, impact communities and demonstrate the value of their membership.”

Chris Monforton, Habitat for Humanity chief executive officer, said: “The continuing commitment of Thrivent Financial to our ongoing need to build homes with those still in temporary housing will help us serve even more low-income families. We are deeply grateful to Thrivent Financial and to its members who join us in this effort.”
