Transamerica’s New 401(k) Platform Offers More Target Maturity Options

Transamerica has introduced a mutual fund platform for workplace retirement plans that offers target maturity choices, 300 funds from 35 companies and has no proprietary fund requirements. Sponsors and advisers also have a choice of pricing.

Sponsors and advisers can also choose either to work with a third-party administrator or receive bundled, full-service capabilities from Transamerica. Further, it includes multiple stable value funds and is available to plans with as little as $1 million of assets under management. The target maturity funds are from Vanguard, American Century and T. Rowe Price.

“Today’s launch of the new mutual fund platform further strengthens Transamerica’s position as a leader in the adviser and TPA-dominated market segment,” said Stig Nybo, president of Transamerica Retirement Services. “This is a very competitive solution for advisers at TPAs who are committed to offering innovative and in-demand features to plan sponsors in the small and mid-sized markets.”
