Turner Launches Three Long/Short Funds

Turner Funds on Monday debuted three new long/short mutual funds, the Turner Market Neutral, Turner Medical Sciences and Turner Titan funds.

Matthew Glaser, Turner’s chief of investment strategies and executive managing director, is the manager of the market neutral fund, which will invest across all major market segments.

Vijay Shankaran, a senior portfolio manager who is also a medical doctor, is manager of the medical sciences fund, which will invest in healthcare companies of all market capitalizations.

And Christopher Baggini, also a senior portfolio manager, is running the Titan fund, which will invest in large-cap stocks.

With these offerings, Turner now has four alternative funds, the fourth being the Turner Spectrum Fund, which is a multi-manager fund consisting of eight Turner long/short investment strategies.
