Two Janus Funds Merge

The $290 million Janus Global Research Fund is merging into the $1.9 billion Janus Worldwide Fund in January, according to a filing.

The combined Fund will be renamed Janus Global Research Fund, but will have the expense structure of Janus Worldwide Fund, which sports an expense ratio of 96 basis points.

“The merger offers a number of benefits to Janus Global Research Fund shareholders, including a lower base management fee rate, fee waivers that likely will result in a lower overall performance fee for two years after the merger, and for most fund shareholders, lower total expenses than you currently pay,” according to the filing.

Also, the long-term performance track record of the Global Fund will remain in place.
