UAM Investment Services of Boston has begun including transcripts and audio replays of conference calls of mutual fund managers with shareholders and investment advisors in the advisor area of its recently-upgraded web site, the company announced.
In the conference calls, the fund managers discuss their funds' holdings, performance and investment strategies and give market commentaries. The transcripts and audio replays will be available for all shareholders in the fall, said John Hubbard, a UAM spokesperson.
"It's an excellent way to keep our shareholders and financial advisors who use our funds in touch with the current thinking of UAM portfolio managers," Hubbard said.
In the future, UAM plans to host conference calls, which will be broadcast live over the web, and an archive of these calls will be available for investors and advisors, said James P. Pappas, president of UAM Investment Services.
