UBS Hires Morgan Stanley Advisor Team In N.C.

UBS Wealth Management Americas has hired a Morgan Stanley Smith Barney team including two financial advisors in Charlotte, N.C.

Financial advisors Charles C. Stoner and Eileen Stoner have joined UBS, along with client service associates Julie Stewartson, Chuck Stoner Jr., Christina Stoner, Heather Budgick, Julia Krauss and Amy Lowe.

The team, which operates under the name The Stoner Group, previously had $3.9 million in fees and commissions and $300 million in assets under management. They report to Complex Director Craig Cmiel and Assistant Branch Manager Dan McLaughlin.

UBS reported that it had a total of 6,811 financial advisors in the U.S. in its first quarter earnings report in April. The firm has since announced a spate of new appointments in Rochester, N.Y., Cleveland and Akron, Ohio, Century City, Calif., Bedminster, N.J., Newport Beach, Calif., Las Vegas and New York.
