UBS Hires Two BofA Merrill Lynch Advisors In Ohio

UBS Wealth Management Americas has continued its latest hiring spree with the addition of Bank of America Merrill Lynch financial advisors Tom Ulrich and Nick Bryant to its Akron, Ohio office.

Ulrich and Bryant previously had a combined $1.6 million in fees and commissions and $260 million in assets under management. They report to Complex Director Michael Lundon, and have been registered with UBS since May 24, according to records from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Ulrich previously served at Merrill Lynch from 1977 until he was hired by UBS, FINRA records show. Bryant had been employed with Merrill Lynch since 2001.

The new hires come with a new hiring streak for UBS that has included expansion of its Ohio financial advisor forces. The firm hired two Morgan Stanley Smith Barney advisors in Cleveland last month. Before that, UBS also announced in May that it had hired 15 financial advisors including three hires from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Centerville, Ohio.

The other new hires included UBS’ Century City, Calif., Bedminster, N.J., Newport Beach, Calif., Las Vegas and New York locations.
