UBS added two advisors managing over $300 million in combined client assets from rivals Morgan Stanley and Ameriprise, according to the firm.
Lori Cousineau-Weaver will join UBSs Seattle office, where she will report to complex director Brandt Westover. She oversaw $210 million in client assets while at Ameriprise and made $2.1 million in annual revenues, according to UBS. She was with the regional brokerage for 26 years.
Peter Choy, a former Morgan Stanley advisor, managed $118 million in client assets generated $1.3 million in production, before moving to UBS, the wirehouse said. Choy will join the Phoenix office, where he will report to complex director James Van Steenhuyse.
Choy started his career in 2001 with Morgan and made stops at Merrill Lynch and Citigroup before making a return to the wirehouse in 2009, according to FINRA records.
UBS also grabbed a team managing $400 million in client assets from Morgan last month. Prior to that, UBS had lost over a dozen advisors overseeing approximately $3 billion in client assets to rivals in July, according to On Wall Street's reporting.
The firm's advisor headcount has been sliding in the past year. Headcounts in the quarter that ended on June 30 dropped to 6,948 from 6,982 for the previous quarter, and down from 7,119 in the year-ago period, according to UBS.
