U.S. Bank Names Regional Managing Director for UHNW Business

U.S. Bank Wealth Management has hired a founder of a venture capital firm to grow the firm's ultrahigh-net-worth wealth management business in Seattle, the firm announced on Tuesday.

Jan Hendrickson joined the firm's Ascent Private Capital Management unit as regional managing director. As part of her responsibility for growing Ascent's Seattle office, she will lead nine professionals who provide investment management, private banking, wealth impact planning, and family office advisory services to wealthy clients in the northwest region, the firm said.

Hendrickson was previously the managing partner and a founder of Denny Hill Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Seattle. Earlier in her career, she was the first CFO of Sound Transit, a $5 billion start-up responsible for financing, constructing and operating Puget Sound's mass transit system. She has extensive corporate board experience and was named a "Woman of Influence" by the Puget Sound Business Journal, U.S. Bank said.

"Jan's dedication to providing exceptional service to individual and corporate clients throughout her career, her impressive breadth of experience in leading both financial and consumer-oriented organizations, particularly in the areas of private equity and venture capital, and her commitment to our community make her the ideal person to lead Ascent's Seattle team," Michael Cole, Ascent's president, said in a statement.
