Van Kampen Creates New Marketing Post

Van Kampen has hired Elizabeth Hughes Eginton as managing director, head of product and marketing. In this new position at the firm, Eginton will report to President and CEO Jerry Miller.

Eginton most recently was senior vice president and director of corporate strategy at Legg Mason Capital Management. There, she assessed potential new products, reviewed competitors, selected and managed Legg Mason’s first major outside retail distributor and revamped the company’s marketing plan.

Before that, she was a principal in the asset management practice at McKinsey & Co.

“Elizabeth brings to Van Kampen 16 years of combined experience in financial services and consulting, including 12 years experience with asset management,” Miller said. “Her extensive expertise will be invaluable as we further broaden Van Kampen’s set of investment solutions and look to execute a robust marketing and branding program.”
