Vanguard Begins Trading ETFs in Europe

Vanguard Asset Management has listed five exchange-traded funds on the London Stock Exchange.

The unit of Vanguard Group, the largest mutual fund complex in the United States, will license indices from FTSE Group, itself a unit of the LSE, for three of the funds.

These include the FTSE All-World, FTSE Emerging and FTSE 100 indices.

Vanguard has issued 40 ETFs in the U.S., including two based on FTSE indices, the FTSE All-World ex-US Small-Cap and FTSE All-World ex-US funds.

Vanguard becomes the 15th ETF issuer on the LSE. The exchange now trades in 933 ETFs.
