Warburg Pincus launches European Equity Fund

Warburg Pincus Funds announced that it is launching a new no-load mutual fund called Warburg Pincus European Equity Fund, which will be managed by Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM).

During a subscription offering from Jan. 4 through Jan.. 28, shares will be available for $10 each.

The fund will invest at least 80 percent of its assets in equity securities of western European companies. The fund may invest in companies of any size, although most of the investments will be in large capitalization companies.

Susan E. Boland, a director at CSAM, will manage the fund. She joined CSAM in 1996 from Barran & Partners Ltd., where she was a director and portfolio manager.
