Biebel, joined by senior registered sales associate Angelica Walter, is working from Raymond James' recently opened Denver-Cherry Creek office in Denver. Biebel and Walter operate as First Avenue Wealth Partners.

Raymond James released a statement describing Biebel as "ecstatic" about joining the firm's culture. “Put simply, we feel that we now have the ability to take our practice to a higher level, provide clients with a wide range of solutions, and be completely focused on client-centric priorities,” he said.

Biebel had been with Wells Fargo since 2002, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records. He began his financial services career in 1991 as a municipal bond wholesaler with John Nuveen in Chicago. A year later he became a financial adviser at Everen Securities and was with the firm after it was acquired in 1999 by First Union, according to Raymond James. He moved that same year to Prudential Securities and remained there until he joined Wells.

First Avenue Wealth Partners serves primarily business owners, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, foundations and endowments, and high-net-worth families. The practice specializes in asset allocation, retirement and financial planning, investment management, asset protection and insurance planning, and cash management.
