Who Is Your InNOVAtor?

Yes, it's that time of year again.

It's time for you to nominate your colleagues for the 2013 NOVA Awards program recognizing outstanding service, leadership and innovation inside asset management firms.

These awards recognize outstanding service, creative, effective and operationally efficient efforts by fund companies that strive to serve clients, build business and improve services.

Asset management firms as well as their service partners and technology suppliers can submit nominations in the following categories: Robert L. Gould Award for Outstanding Service to the Fund Industry; Visionary Leadership; Innovation in Customer Experience; Innovation in Back Office Efficiencies; and Creativity in Marketing Operations.

"NICSA is home to more than 10,000 investment management professionals dedicated to better serving their customers by developing operational best practice," said Theresa Hamacher, President, NICSA.

"These awards give our members the opportunity to nominate their colleague(s) who have achieved excellence within the investment management industry."

Now in its eleventh year, these awards recognize individuals, teams and companies who have had a huge impact in the past year, even if the projects they initiated reach further back. It's often hard to peer into the marketing operations, back offices and services teams that make the fund industry tick, almost invisibly. This puts such oft- hidden industry leaders in the spotlight, and justifiably so.

All nominees must work inside asset management firms; they can be nominated individually or as a team. This includes operations executives at mutual funds, separately managed accounts firms, alternative investment fund operators, hedge funds, in-house 401(k) administrators or service providers, or any other type of firm that serves shareholders and/or the retirement savings and income industries, as long as they do so in their capacity as a money management or investment management business.

The NOVAs will be presented on September 20 during NICSA's General Membership Meeting in Boston. The extended deadline for entries is June 25.
