Two wirehouse executives joined independent advisory Dynasty Financial Partners.
Kara Valentine joined New York-based Dynasty as director of marketing from U.S. Trust, while Janessa Biller left Goldman Sachs to accept the role of Dynastys vice president of relationship management.
Valentine will report to Shirl Penney, President and chief executive of Dynasty. "Kara brings two decades of proven wealth management marketing experience to Dynasty and has worked on some of the largest brand campaigns in the industry over that time, Penney commented in a release. She will be an important addition as Dynasty continues to grow rapidly and expand its platform.
Valentines 20-year career includes directing marketing efforts at Morgan Stanley, and senior roles at Merrill Lynch.
Prior to her tenure with Goldman Sachs, Biller started her career with UBS. At Dynasty, she will report to Ed Swenson, chief operating officer of Dynasty.
Janessa will be a major asset as we provide increasingly sophisticated technology and operations to the Dynasty network of advisors, Swenson said in a statement. Her deep experience in operational support will add significant capabilities to our service team.
