As General Counsel of Prosper, Sachin oversees all of Prosper’s legal and regulatory affairs.Prior to joining Prosper, Sachin served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of GreenPoint Mortgage Funding, which was then the mortgage lending arm of Capital One Financial Corporation. Before that, he served as Vice President and General Counsel of Valley Media, a music and video distributor. Sachin also practiced for a number of years with the San Francisco law firm of Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin.Sachin earned his J.D. from UCLA, where he served as an Editor of the UCLA Law Review.� He also holds an M.A. in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.A., cum laude, in English Literature from Georgetown University.

Richard P. Eckman is a partner in the Wilmington office of Pepper Hamilton LLP. He is a finance and transactional lawyer and from 2003 to 2015 was chairman of the firm’s Financial Services Practice Group, which includes over 40 lawyers practicing in the areas of investment management, commercial and consumer financial services, public finance and affordable housing.Mr. Eckman’s transactional practice focuses on representing financial institutions, corporations and other entities in complex financing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, asset securitizations and other lending and venture transactions.As a result of his background in banking, Mr. Eckman has in-depth experience and knowledge of financial services companies. He represents many financial institutions and lenders in a broad array of areas, including commercial lending, consumer finance, mortgage banking, insurance, trust matters, outsourcing and operational issues. He also represents a number of institutional trustees in Delaware business trust transactions.Mr. Eckman also has an active practice representing non-depository institutions and specialty finance companies, and service providers in compliance matters, payment system issues, strategic transactions, government investigation and enforcement actions. He is an active speaker and writer on the activities of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other regulators, and their implications for the industry.Active in politics early in his career, he was campaign manager for Pete duPont’s 1976 successful gubernatorial campaign and was legislative counsel in the Washington office of Congressman Thomas B. Evans, Jr. (R Delaware) from 1977-1979. He also was one of the drafters of Delaware’s landmark Financial Center Development Act that attracted over 25 financial institutions to Delaware, many of whom he represents. He was chairman of the Commercial Law Section of the Delaware Bar Association from 1989-1991 and of its Banking Law Committee from 1984-1992.He has been counsel to the Bank of Delaware, now PNC Bank; was a founder of and vice president and general counsel for The Chase Manhattan Bank (USA), N.A.; and was a director and secretary of FCC National Bank, the national bank subsidiary of Bank One Corporation now part of JPMorgan Chase, headquartered in Wilmington. Mr. Eckman is a fellow in and former regent of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers and a member of the Lawyers Committee of the Consumer Bankers Association. He is also an adjunct professor at the Villanova University School of Law where he teaches financial institution law. He is active in and held leadership positions on the Consumer Financial Services Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association and served as editor-in-chief of its e-newsletter.Mr. Eckman was a founder and president of the Delaware Entrepreneurs’ Forum. He is a member of the board of directors of the Delaware Innovation Fund, a nonprofit seed and preseed venture capital fund, and was chairman of the board of Early Stage East, Inc., a nonprofit that sponsors venture fairs in the Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Eckman also is a member of the Editorial Board of the�Journal of Payment Systems Law.

Under his leadership, Bank of the West has transformed its mobile and online capabilities.Beginning in 2013, Bank of the West was the first bank in North America to offer Quick Balance, which provides customers with pre-login account balances on mobile. In 2014, the Bank was one of the first to market with “Scan-to-Pay” capability, which allows mobile customers to pay their bills by taking a photo of a bill stub. In May 2015, the redesign of Bank of the West’s online banking service for personal and small business customers was launched.Under Jamie’s leadership and the bank’s strategic digital focus, his team brought to market a number of award-winning services while enabling customers’ to interact with Bank of the West based on their multi-channel preferences in order to meet their specific needs. In 2015, he was recognized by American Banker as one of the Digital Bankers of the year.Prior to joining Bank of the West, Jamie spent eleven years in Digital Channels at Bank of America.

Allan I. Mendelowitz is President of the ACTUS Financial Research Foundation.Previously Dr. Mendelowitz was the Co-founder and Co-leader of the Committee to Establish the National Institute of Finance (CE-NIF) where he formulated and executed the legislative and communications strategies of the CE-NIF that led to the creation of the Office of Financial Research by the Dodd-Frank Act.� In prior assignments he served as the Chairman and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Housing Finance Board, the regulator of the Federal Home Loan Bank System; Executive Director of the U.S. Congressional Trade Deficit Review Commission, a congressionally appointed, bi-partisan panel; Executive Vice President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States where he was responsible for overseeing all Export-Import Bank programs and operations; Managing Director for International Trade, Finance and Economic Competitiveness at the U.S. GAO, during which time he directed a large number of studies of the nation's international trade and finance programs and policies, and testified before the Congress of the United States more than 140 times.� Dr. Mendelowitz spent 1980 as the senior economist and representative of the Comptroller General with the Chrysler Corporation Loan Guarantee Board negotiating the terms of that Federal loan guarantee.� Prior to joining the GAO he was an Economic Policy Fellow at the Brookings Institution and on the faculty of the Department of Economics of Rutgers University where he taught courses in urban and regional economics and international trade and finance.� Articles by Dr. Mendelowitz have appeared in the Journal of Business, the National Tax Journal, the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, the Financial Times, the American Banker, and other publications.� Dr. Mendelowitz received an A.B. degree from Columbia University, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in economics from Northwestern University.�

Richard joined Citi and the Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) global leadership team in May of 2012 as the Global Head, Commercial Lending Management (CLM), reporting to the CCB CEO.� He has strategic and direct responsibility for all lending functions dedicated to CCB, and has focused on significantly simplifying and enhancing the overall client experience by redesigning the overall End-to End lending process.� Since December 2014 global turn around times had fallen by 69%, productivity had increased by over 30% and had overseen the design and implementation of CitiRisk Commercial, a platform which enables the absolute digitization of all lending and credit activities.Richard also leads the Digital Transformation for CCB, with overall responsibility for business architecture, CRM, internal user experience and client experience.� Focusing on enhancing RM and Client experience, and digitizing CCB from the inside out CCB has achieved some early successes in moving to a digital operating model.Prior to joining Citi Richard established and led Standard Chartered’s Small to Medium Banking Centre of Excellence in North East Asia, where he was responsible for driving commercial objectives and end-to-end responsibility for the NEA SME business.� In addition, he was the global business lead for advanced credit risk modelling for micro-, small- and medium-sized businesses and the Standard Chartered representative and expert advisor and speaker to the IFC, UK Government and G20 Subcommittee on SME Finance.Preceding his return to Asia, Richard was the Regional General Manager for the SME Banking businesses at Standard Chartered covering Africa and the Middle East for six years, with ancillary responsibility for the consumer treasury business in the same geography.� He started his career with Standard Chartered in 1997 after initially working for a Canadian retail bank.�Richard has managed and led businesses, functions and large scale programmes across more than 40 countries, and has lived and operated from Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.Having met with customers, front line staff and regulators across Asia, Africa, North & South America and the Middle East, he has acquired a well-developed sense of the needs, wants and demands of SME and MM businesses and for the structural enablers at both a business and institutional level.A Canadian and British citizen, Richard holds an MSc in International Marketing from StrathclydeUniversity and is a Chartered Marketer and Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and is a Full Member of the Chartered Management Institute.
