Wells Fargo Team with $150M AUM Goes Indy

A team with $150 million in assets has left Wells Fargo to join the independent side of Raymond James, the firm said.

Advisors Erin Cockman and Angie Hall left the wirehouse to join Raymond James Financial Services, the firm’s independent broker-dealer, in Burlington, N.C., said Scott Whitley, mid-Atlantic regional director for Raymond James.

Cockman and Hall had about $950,000 in annual production before making the move, according to Raymond James. Also making the move is client associate Melissa Spoon. The team operates as Pinnacle Wealth.

“Since Pinnacle Wealth was founded, we had always felt like we had the heart and soul of an independent planning practice, and we hit a point where we were with a very different company than the one with which we had started,” Cockman says.

Cockman started her career at Wells Fargo’s predecessor Wachovia in 1996, and stayed on with the firm after its acquisition by the wirehouse until her move to independence, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records. Hall started her career with Merrill Lynch in 2001, and also worked for Citigroup and LPL Financial, before joining Wells in 2015, according to BrokerCheck.

Prior to joining Raymond James and Pinnacle Wealth Partners, Spoon spent 27 years at Wells Fargo Advisors in various customer service roles and as a client associate, Raymond James said.
