Each year, the team at Financial Planning organizes and analyzes several lists that put the wealth management industry into perspective — from our top 40 Under 40, which highlights the top young brokers in the industry, to our rankings of the largest RIAs and IBDs in the country.

We also create a few qualitative lists, from our people to watch series to our Rising Stars awards for those early-career advisors making a mark on the world of financial planning.

You'll find those lists below, along with links to the stories that analyze related trends.

IBD Elite

The IBD Elite series breaks down not only the largest independent broker-dealers in the U.S., but also analyzes data to get a sense of the firms that prioritize hiring women and those that team with large RIAs.

The cover story of our October print magazine this year looked at the complex issues surrounding offices of supervisory jurisdiction.
