Earlier this month, advisor Michael R. Hostick II moved to Raymond James from Oppenheimer & Co., where he generated annual revenues of about $930,000. Hostick and Michael Charles, senior investment management specialist, joined Raymond James in Austin, Texas.

Hostick had been at Oppenheimer since 2010, according to FINRA records. Previously, he worked at Southwest Securities.

Hostick said in a statement that he joined Raymond James because of the firm's technology capabilities as well as the talent and experience at the firm's Austin office.

The St. Petersburg, Fla.-based firm also announced the addition of a father-son team, John and Darren James, from Wells Fargo. The two advisors generated $1.25 million in annual revenues while at the wirehouse.

Last year, the team joined Raymond James in Sugar Land, Texas, a suburb of Houston.

The elder James has 34 years of experience in the industry, according to FINRA records. He started at Rotan Mosle in 1981, and moved to A.G. Edwards in 1989. The younger James joined him at the firm in 2003. They stayed with A.G. Edwards through its merger with Wells Fargo.

Raymond James currently has more than 6,200 advisors across both its independent and employee channels, and the firm's total client assets are about $483 billion.
