Pohlen started his career in 1995 at Piper Jaffray, when it was owned by U.S. Bancorp, according to FINRA BrokerCheck records. He left the firm to join Morgan in 2000, BrokerCheck records show. Terris began his career at Morgan two years earlier.

Kasper's career goes back to 1982 when he got his start in the industry at Dean Witter Reynolds, according to BrokerCheck. After a brief stint at Dain Bosworth in 1992, he joined Morgan in the same year, BrokerCheck records shows.

Also on the team is Pohlen's brother David, who started his career at Morgan in 2009 prior to joining Merrill, according to BrokerCheck. Senior client associate Kathleen Vaughan and client associate Deborah Smith also made the move with the group, Merrill said.

A Morgan spokeswoman declined to comment on the moves.
