Aberdeen Rolls Out a High Yield Offering

Aberdeen Asset Management Inc. has launched the Aberdeen U.S. High Yield Bond Fund, which will bet on below investment grade bonds.

"With few higher-yielding alternatives currently available, it's no surprise that there is such a strong demand for high-yield bonds," stated Keith Bachman, Aberdeen's Head of U.S. High Yield. "Spreads are well above where we would expect them to be given the muted default outlook over the next few years, creating what we believe is an attractive entry point for investors."

The fund charges 110 basis points for A shares, 180 bps for C shares, 135 bps for R shares and 80 bps for Institutional shares. Its portfolio managers include Keith Bachman, Brendan Dillon, Christopher Gagnier, Edward Grant and Neal Ravner.
