AdvisorShares Launches Business Cycle ETF

AdvisorShares today officially announced that the Pring Turner Business Cycle ETF will open for trading on Wednesday, December 19. DBIZ is sub-advised by Pring Turner Capital Group, a Walnut Creek, Calif.-based investment advisor.

Money Management Executive previously reported on the launch.

The fund will bet on stocks, bonds and commodities and will employ its sub-advisor’s, Pring Turner Capital Group, proprietary business cycle research to change the fund's asset allocation and sector emphasis to minimize portfolio risk and optimize portfolio returns throughout the business cycle. It has a net expense ratio of 162 basis points.

“We’re taking a strategy that Martin Pring has developed over time that looks at the business cycles from a technical perspective and changes based on what business cycle we’re in,” Noah Hamman, chief executive officer of AdvisorShares, told MME.
