Artisan Partners has launched a new active equity fund, Artisan Global Small Cap Fund (ARTWX), which will bet on small-cap stocks without regional contraints.
The fund will be managed by the Global Equity portfolio team of Mark Yockey, Charles-Henri Hamker, Andrew Euretig and David Geisler.
“Artisan Global Small Cap Fund is a natural extension of our global research,” stated Yockey. “We find a lot of U.S. small-cap ideas with attractive growth prospects and competitive advantages. We will now be able to leverage those ideas into a portfolio.”
Artisan managed some $83 billion in mutual funds, UCITS, CITs and separately managed accounts as of the end of March.
