BNY Mellon Wealth Management promotes exec to national director of sales

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has named a regional president to lead the firm's national sales and business development team.

Scott Fleming, the former head of the firm's Rocky Mountain region, now oversees nearly 150 sales professionals across the U.S.

He succeeds Donald Quattrucci, who assumed a new role as managing director and head of strategy for U.S. markets, according to a BNY Mellon spokeswoman.

Tom Dicker, BNY Mellon's president of U.S. Markets, praised Fleming's leadership of the firm's Rocky Mountain region, saying that he "welcomed his strategic vision and experience in taking the firm's business development efforts to the next level."

"As national sales director, Scott will lead our team in not only attracting new clients but also helping to ensure that our current clients continue to enjoy the superb level of service and experience that have resulted in our industry-leading 95% client satisfaction rates," Dicker said in a statement.
Fleming's appointment is the latest step in the firm's expansion of its sales force, which began in May 2014. Since the launch of the growth initiative, the firm has added dozens of portfolio management and private banking professionals and established a number of new offices in key wealth markets, including Menlo Park, San Diego, Washington, Houston, Dallas, Cayman and Hong Kong, according to BNY Mellon.

Fleming joined BNY Mellon in July 2015 as Rocky Mountain regional president responsible for Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Kansas. During his 18-month tenure as president, he managed year-over-revenue growth, added staff and guided the team's move to new offices, BNY Mellon said.

Prior to BNY Mellon, Fleming served as managing director of wealth management for The Bank of Tampa, a position he held for two years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
