Citi Snags ETF Custody Mandate

Citi has been appointed by Mirae Asset Global Investments to provide fund administration, custody and index receipt services for a new exchange-traded fund platform in the U.S. under the Horizons brand.

The first ETF, the Horizons S&P 500 Covered Call ETF (HSPX) launched on June 24 and will be followed by a series of sector ETFs.

Citi OpenInvestor currently provides services to eleven global active and passive ETF managers.

The Horizons ETFs Group is the ETF arm of Mirae Asset Global Investments and manages some $7 billion in assets in 180 ETFs worldwide.
