Dow, Nasdaq Add to Gains

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 23.69 points to 13,228.31 Friday while the Nasdaq and S&P 500 added 18.59 points and 3.38 points, respectively.

In economic news, consumer sentiment increased to 76.4 in April from 76.2 in March, according to the Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan’s final reading. And the Commerce Department said economic growth in the U.S. slowed to a 2.2% annual rate in the first quarter, down from 3% in the fourth quarter.
