ETFs Based on Quantitative Filters Begin Trading on Amex

SPA ETF, a provider of indexes and exchange-traded funds in the U.K. began trading six ETFs based on six proprietary indexes on the American Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

The indexes filter the more than 5,700 U.S. listed stocks for 24 quantitative measures in four main areas: growth, value, profitability and cash flow.

Three of the ETFs track stocks of all capitalization sizes based on indexes of 20, 40 and 100 stocks. The last three are based on indexes of 100 stocks, one based on large-cap, another on mid-cap and a third on small-cap stocks.
