Assets of all exchange-traded funds rose in March by $37.54 billion, or 2.7%, to $1.446 trillion, according to the Investment Company Institute.

Assets in domestic equity ETFs increased $144.56 billion since March 2012, and global equity ETFs assets rose $60.46 billion during this period. At the end of March 2013, assets of bond funds were $249.40 billion and hybrid funds were $1.0 billion.

Over the past 12 months, ETF assets increased $252.36 billion, or 21.2%.
