Ex-Lawyer Will Run Internet Fund

An ex-lawyer in Houston, Texas plans to add another fund to the Internet category.

Omar S. Rivero will manage the iMillennium Fund, according to a registration statement filed with the SEC yesterday. iMillennium will invest in domestic and foreign companies doing Internet and Internet-related business, according to the registration statement. The fund will be sold without a sales charge.

The iMillennium Fund will be the first fund its advisor, iMillennium Capital Management of Houston, has run. Rivero is chairman and chief executive officer of iMillennium Capital Management.

Rivero has been managing private equity capital since May 1996 for Rivero Investment Management Company, predecessor of iMillennium Capital. iMillennium Capital has approximately $10 million in assets under management. Prior to forming Rivero Investment Management, Rivero was a partner in the law firm of Chaves, Gonzales & Hoblit, LLP of Houston from 1987 through June 1997.
