Executive Moves

Dumas, Leeson, Doucet Join Putnam DC Team

Three veteran sales professionals, Alan Dumas, John Leeson and Chris Doucet, have joined the defined contribution team at Putnam Investments.

Commenting on the new hires, Edmund F. Murphy III, managing director and head of defined contribution at Putnam, said, "When he took the helm last year as president and CEO, Bob Reynolds made the retirement market one of the cornerstones of Putnam's resurgence, with a strong commitment to supporting plan sponsors and their advisers. The hiring of well-regarded industry veterans such as Alan Duman, John Leeson and Chris Doucet will be helpful in driving the continued growth of our retirement business."

A 14-year veteran of investment management Dumas will serve as a vice president in charge of business development. He joins Putnam from Fidelity, where he worked with advisers in defined contribution sales as a vice president, retirement specialist. Before that, he had a successful sales career at Principal.

Leeson is now a vice president working with advisers in the Southeast. He previously spent more than 13 years as a registered investment adviser with LPL Financial.

Doucet joins Putnam as senior vice president, national accounts director, in charge of both full-service and investment-only defined contribution sales through large broker/dealer partners. He comes to the firm from The Hartford and also worked at MFS Investment Management.
