Fidelity Offers Nine Private Investment Pools in Canada

Fidelity Investments Canada has unveiled nine Fidelity Private Investment Pools aimed at the high-net-worth market. The offerings cover a wide array of asset classes and are said to be institutional-grade.

“As their level of income and assets rises, high-net-worth investors are looking for investment managers that can provide unique investment opportunities, tax-advantaged solutions, low costs and, most importantly, consistent returns and performance over the long term,” said Darren Farkas, vice president of product solutions at Fidelity Canada.

“Managing risk and preserving capital for future generations are also top concerns,” Farkas continues.

In Canada, high-net-worth investors control 76% of the nation’s financial wealth, and this influence is projected to reach 84% by 2016.

Managers from Fidelity and its institutional subsidiary, Pyramis Global Advisors, will run the investment pools, which will focus on delivering consistent performance through fundamental, bottom-up equity research.
