Franklin Templeton of San Mateo, Calif. has incorporated slide presentations into some of the portfolio managers' video commentaries available for financial intermediaries at its website. New portfolio manager commentaries are expected to be released monthly.
The addition of a video commentary and accompanying slides allows financial advisors that sell Franklin's funds to be more in touch with the people managing their clients' money, said Jenny Bolt, chief web officer at Franklin Resources in a statement.
"The linked slide presentations are a great way to reinforce key points of the commentary," Bolt said.
Financial advisers will also be able to see some fund managers' TV appearances online and transcripts of online manager chats. Advisers will also be able to see Franklin's TV ads online.
