Franklin Grows DCIO Unit

Franklin Templeton has expanded its defined contribution investment only team this year with the addition of four wholesalers.

Specifically, David Waters, most recently with Prudential Retirement, was hired to cover the firm’s Central region. Bryan Bracchi, formerly of Oppenheimer Funds, came on board earlier in the year to cover the South-Central region and Matt Kasa was hired to cover the Southwest region. He was most recently with Legg Mason Funds. Also, Jeff Petersen, formerly of Morgan Stanley, was added to cover the Southeast region.

Franklin’s DCIO and variable annuity investment-only units are headed by Yaqub Ahmed, who joined the firm in August 2009. Ahmed reports to Dan O'Lear, Head of Retail Distribution - North America.
