X.com of Palo Alto, Calif., began offering the first products of its on-line financial services last week - three funds in a new family of funds and on-line banking services.
All three funds are no-load and will not include redemption fees or minimum investment requirements, according to company officials. The fund family includes an S&P 500 index fund, a US bond index fund and a high-yield money market fund, company officials said.
Barclays Global Fund Advisors of San Francisco will advise the funds. In coming months, X.com plans to offer on-line brokerage and insurance services.
