HighTower has acquired two LPL Financial advisors with $150 million in combined client assets.

Managing director and now partner Melissa Duffy has joined the firm with advisor Paige Todorich at Portland, Maine-based Simmons Wilkes Investment Advisors. That brings the group's total corporate, family and individual assets to nearly $650 million, according to the firm.

Prior to joining HighTower, Duffy spent nearly eight years with LPL in Foreside, Maine, according to FINRA. She was also the founder and managing partner at Duffy Anderson Investment Management, according to the firm. Before that she worked at Wachovia Securities, A.G. Edwards and Sons and Charles Schwab, BrokerCheck records show.

Before joining LPL in January 2015, Todorich spent her previous 11 years in the financial services industry at Wells Fargo Advisors and one of its predecessor firms, A.G. Edwards &  Sons, FINRA says.

HighTower recently lured a UBS advisor with $200 million in AUM.
