Kurt Schoknecht has been named head of ACM Offshore, the offshore mutual fund division of Alliance Capital Management of New York. Schoknecht was previously senior vice president of offshore funds strategic business development at Alliance. ACM Offshore currently has $23 billion in offshore assets under management.
John Ferrara has been named to the board of directors of Gabelli Asset Management of Rye, N.Y. Ferrara is the chief financial officer of Space.com, the Internet company founded by Lou Dobbs, formerly of CNN. Ferrara was previously the chief financial officer of Renaissance Communications Corp. of Greenwich, Conn., which owns and operates television stations.
