Investors Resume Buying Spree

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied up another 65.69 points to close at 13,279.32 Tuesday, getting the month of May off to a strong start following April’s mixed performance.

The Nasdaq added 4 points to close at 3,050.44 while the S&P 500 gained 7.91 points to end at 1,405.82.

In economic news, China’s manufacturing activity soared to a one-year high in April, a sign that the world’s second-largest economy is starting to recovery from recent macroeconomic weakness.

Also, U.S. construction spending moved up 0.1% in March to annual rate of $808 billion.
