Janney Nabs $900 Million Merrill Team

A group of Merrill Lynch advisors managing over $900 million in assets has joined Janney’s West Hartford, Conn., office.

The team, which had over $3.7 million in annual production and fees, consists of advisors Robert Black, Ned Manuel, Ed Blumenthal, Rob Borkowski and Malcolm Berman. Black, Manuel and Blumenthal will operate as senior vice presidents of wealth management. Borkowski will be vice president of wealth management, and Malcolm Berman is an account executive.

They had been at Merrill Lynch for the past nine years. Before that, the team was with Advest, which was acquired by Merrill Lynch in 2005.

Based in Philadelphia, Pa., Janney has approximately 750 advisors concentrated in the eastern United States.
