John Hancock Funds Teams Up with Standard & Poor's

John Hancock Funds of Boston, has teamed up with Standard & Poor's of New York to provide retirement services to more than 1,000 companies nationwide.

Employees of companies with John Hancock 401(k) programs will have access to advice, education and 401(k) account balances via the Internet. John Hancock will offer Standard & Poor's Retirement Services to over 1,000 clients who are 401(k) plan sponsors and to approximately 125,000 retirement plan participants.

Standard & Poor's, a division of the McGraw-Hill Companies, currently provides retirement programs to one million 401(k) participants through other 401(k) plan providers.
