Raymond James has added to its Private Client Group (PCG) with a key senior management appointment.
David Patchen, a regional director for the firm’s independent broker/dealer, Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS), will become senior vice president of PCG Education and Practice Management on September 1.
Patchen’s new role will support all business models under the firm’s AdvisorChoice spectrum, according to Chet Helck, CEO of the Global Private Client Group.
Patchen will be tasked with leading several functions such as new advisor and experienced advisor education, conferences and practice management. He will also coordinate with business leaders throughout the firm to support advisor productivity and enhance the firm’s succession planning and practice acquisition initiatives.
“David will continue Raymond James’ emphasis on advisor education, including helping financial advisors take best advantage of the products and services offered by Raymond James so that they can grow their businesses,” said Helck in a press release. “He has extensive knowledge of and proven experience with advisor education and practice management, two areas that are key to growing our Private Client Group as a whole. He is uniquely suited for this role, and I look forward to the contributions he will make to our ongoing efforts.”
