Long-Term Funds Take in $4.68 Billion

Long-term funds took in $4.68 billion in the week ended March 16, the Investment Company Institute said Wednesday.

Equity funds netted $582 million, compared to outflows of $168 million the week before. Investors redeemed $1.307 billion from U.S. stock funds and invested $1.889 billion into foreign stock funds.

Hybrid funds took in $1.22 billion, down slightly from the $1.49 billion they took in the previous week.

Bond funds had inflows of $2.88 billion, down from the $3.25 billion they took in the previous week. Investors placed $3.49 billion into taxable bond funds and redeemed $618 million from municipal bond funds.
