Miami Dolphins Stadium Renamed Sun Life

Sun Life Financial is readying a national marketing campaign to raise its profile, and to underscore the effort, has just signed a multi-year agreement with the Miami Dolphins to rename the team’s Miami Gardens, Fla., stadium the Sun Life Stadium.

Sun Life will promote the stadium, where the NFL Pro Bowl and Super Bowl are taking place this year, as the official home of the Miami Dolphins and itself as the official insurance and wealth management partner of the team. Sun Life’s logo will appear on promotional materials related to the stadium, including paper tickets. In addition, Sun Life will invest $250,000 in the Miami Dolphins Foundation each year.

“As Sun Life’s tagline will tell you,” said Dolphins CEO Mike Dee, “sooner or later you’ll get to know their name.

“This partnership is a touchdown for both Sun Life and the Dolphins,” said Sun Life President Wes Thompson. “It combines the strength and stability of the Sun Life brand with a storied Miami Dolphins franchise and a premier stadium venue in a vibrant community. It maximizes our television and media exposure and allows Sun Life’s business units worldwide to participate in and benefit from the naming rights agreement.”
