Missouri Court Gives Class-Action Status to 401(k) Suit Against Fidelity

A Missouri court has decided to allow a lawsuit by employees of Swiss manufacturer ABB against the company and Fidelity Investments to have class-action status, The Wall Street Journal reports. The suit accuses the company of charging excessive retirement plan fees and not disclosing the fees.

The suit says that between 1995 and 2005, the company steered employees into investments run by Fidelity.

A Fidelity spokesman said the firm will defend itself vigorously.
