Nationwide Financial Adds Eight Marketing Directors

Nationwide Financial Services of Columbus, Ohio, is adding eight regional marketing directors to increase sales of its "Best of America" fund products through independent financial planners, the company said.

The new directors and their regions are: Eric Aanes, San Francisco; Matthew Blandford, Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia; Albert Isabella Jr., Pennsylvania; Susan O' Connor, Long Island, N.Y.; Alan Potvin, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and western Massachusetts; Jeff Robinson, Minnesota and Iowa; Dan Stolbf, New York City; and Chad Swats, Colorado and New Mexico.

The company also named Rick Alvarez to be its national sales manager. Alvarez comes from Transamerica Capital of San Francisco, where he was a vice president and national marketing director for financial planning firms.

Nationwide Financial sells mutual funds, life insurance and retirement plans and has nearly $93 billion in assets under management.
