Endurance Series Trust, a newly-formed multi-series trust, is launching its first mutual fund via Tampa-based Gator Capital Management, the fund’s advisor.
The Gator Focus Fund launched on May 1 and will bet on small-capitalization companies. The fund is managed by Derek Pilecki, a former member of the Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) Growth Equity Team.
“There are a lot advisors looking at the 40’ Act space as a reaction to Dodd-Frank,” Andres Sandate, president and chief executive officer of Endurance Fund Services, told Money Management Executive.
Endurance Fund Services, an independently-owned and operated fund administration company, serves as the fund Administrator for the mutual funds in the Endurance Series Trust.
Sandate said that he envisions launching between 12-15 funds within the trust, including alternative mutual funds. “That tide has definitely come in. This is a seminal moment in the hedge fund industry,” he said.
