Peter Moeller has been named managing director and executive vice president of sales for New York Life Asset Management's MainStay Management LLC of Parsippany, N.J.

Moeller will oversee sales and distribution of The MainStay Funds, which include growth, income, growth and income, and international funds. As of April 21, the funds had more than $20 billion in assets under management.
Moeller was national sales director for Deutsche Bank's U.S. mutual fund group. Previously, he was national sales manager and director of key accounts for Dreyfus Corp. and was a stockbroker, national training director and product manager at Dean Witter Reynolds.
