Citi Private Bank’s Investment Management Unit Names Head of U.S. Equities

Citi Private Bank has nabbed the assistant research director of GE Asset Management to lead the bank’s U.S. equity portfolio team. Rob Jasminski joined Citi’s investment management unit as managing director and head of U.S. Equities, the bank announced on Tuesday.

As part of his role, Jasminski will oversee the investment process to “help ensure that existing and future U.S. equity strategies are both relevant and competitive,” Citi said in the announcement.

While at GE Asset Management, Jasminski held a variety of fundamental and portfolio management positions over the course of his 20 years there. He most recently served as the assistant director of Research, leading a team of 30 global equity analysts.

“With a background that is both global and institutional in scope, Rob is an important addition to the team as we continue to pursue our mission of providing consistently competitive investment strategies globally, and our focus on core equity going into 2014,” Stephanie Luedke, CEO of Citi Investment Management, said in a statement.

Citi Private Bank provides investing and wealth advice for ultra-high-net-worth clients with more than $25 million in net worth.  It is part of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group.
