NICSA Becomes ... NICSA

BOSTON - The membership of the National Investment Service Company Association voted to change the trade association's legal name to simply NICSA.

The group's board had determined that its name was "too limiting,'' outgoing chairman Nimish Bhatt said. Besides mutual fund companies, the association now also is serving a broadening range of hedge funds and broker-dealers, he said.

The change was put to a vote at NICSA's general membership meeting here Thursday.

The association also unveiled a new logo, website design and a new tagline, all chosen to reflect its mission of providing education and networking forums to professionals in the global investment management community.

The tagline: "Connecting Investment Industry Professionals to Best Practices."
